Welcome to Fteri.

FteriA genuine diamond of Aigialeia, sculptured with art by nature itself, enchanting Fteri is ready to offer enjoyment and rest in the body and the soul of visitor. It is found in altitude 1.200 m in mt. Klokos, roughly 28 km far from Aigio city. It has the infrequent advantage to present open horizon to the sea of Corinthian while its big altitude gives the visitor a chance of experiencing an impressive view while from the top of mountain he/she can see the mountains of “Moria” and the mountain range of Pindos.
The resort Fteri, which along with the small communities of Ayios Panteleimon, Achladias, Selissa, Mpoufouskia and Ayios Andreas constituted the bigger community of Fteri, during  prewar times was consider somewhat the Paradise of Greece, the beauty that it assembled admirers from around the world and charmed them with her allurments, with the perfume of plants and trees, with the music of the birds and its natural sources, with the caress of clean air and the dew pine tree forest; on the other hand it was a place for recreation and inspiration for intellectual people and pioneers, as well as destination for those who trully love nature. Fteri’s healthy climate and very beautiful pine tree forest  (which was unfortunately destroyed during  the great fires in the summer o f2007) they were also hymned  by the visitors of the region.
FteriFteri  took her name from the ferns (fteri is the greek word for fern) that sprout abundant here. As the ferns are stretched out between the trees and embrace them tight where no man can lean hand, Fteri, a place with intense historical presence from the antiquity up to nowadays, despite the occasionally destructions, keeps deep in itself something untouched left for the walker to discover.
